What Inspired Us
We were inspired by our teammate Grace, who said that the pandemic has made it difficult for her to regulate her sleep and exercise schedules. In order to help combat this, we created Ambulant with the intent to provide users with a way to get advice on when the best times to walk and sleep are.
What We Learned
While working on the project, we learned a lot about HTML, CSS, and Javascript. We learned how to display a live clock on the page, and we also learned about implementing cookies on our website. Also, we improved our remote collaboration skills, which will be incredibly helpful in a post-COVID world.
How We Built It
We collaborated on our project in Visual Studio Code by using an extension that allowed for us to all work on the project at the same time. Alex then screen shared the website on Zoom so that we could all see live updates to the website as we made edits in real-time.
Challenges
Some challenges we faced were implementing the API. This was very difficult at first, but we got a lot of great experience in trying to work around it.
