Inspiration
After listening to the speaker talk about patient safety, we started to think about what we could do to help the healthcare system and its patients. We wanted to create a platform so that patients could connect, but also to ease in their management of health information. From medicine, allergens to treatments, our goal is to have our website provide a centralized place for an individuals basic data that affects their day-to-day.
What it does
It includes a chat, a listing of prescription data, a login and sign up page, notifications, and a profile page
How we built it
Using HTML, CSS and BootStrap framework.
Challenges we ran into
Originally we had wanted to use React but struggled with errors. All of us are also not extremely fluent in front end work, so much of the website creation was a learning curve.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to create a site in the end with pages and elements.
What we learned
How largely dependent HTML is on JS for any real computing, and was a good refresher to our initial knowledge of HTML. We learned how to use GitHub as well.
What's next for Angak
Developed a better UI with more graphics and a smoother layout. Additionally, Angak would need a database running to actually store user data and ensure higher security. A big goal would be to have authenticating API's that could potential scan prescription and input data through that to prevent users from incorrectly inputting data.
