Inspiration
Online learning platforms rely on email addresses, usernames, and tracking systems to gate access, measure progress, and issue certificates. This model compromises user privacy.
In web3, your wallet is your identity. We believe that should be enough to learn, progress, and earn credentials. We created a platform where anyone can pivot into blockchain development without giving up their privacy, personal data, or learning autonomy.
What it does
AnonUniversity is a decentralized learning platform (dApp) that allows students to go from blockchain beginner to certified developer using a competency based learning model.
Key features include:
MetaMask-only login (no email or username)
Fully anonymous learning experience
Self-paced curriculum with real-world smart contract development
Flat-rate tuition
Blockchain-based & LinkedIn certifications on completion
How we built it
Frontend: TypesScript, CSS Web3 Integration: MetaMask
Challenges we ran into
Planning certifications without leaking user data.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a working prototype with MetaMask login and user flow. Clean UX that encourages anonymous, self-directed learning.
Framed a new way to approach web3/blockchain education: we are private, scalable to many students, and affordable.
What we learned
Learners want more control over their identity and time
Credentials are only useful if verifiable and accredited.
Tuition models should align with learning outcomes (More time + more tuition doesn't necessarily mean you learned more).
What's next for AnonUniversity
Implementation of on-chain certifications. Up-to-date curriculum.

- metamask
