Inspiration
Our inspiration for AppointMate was to create solutions for users wanting a quick and simple automated help-desk type interaction. Throughout our times in college, everyone in the group has had experienced the annoying experience of having to wait ages for a response from an organization or professor when trying to schedule a meeting. The best way to address this was simply making a solution ourselves. We hope that this or something similar becomes more and more common to address the issue of slow responses from offices around the world.
What it does
AppointMate allows users to schedule appointments through messaging apps, including your phone's Messaging app and through phone calls. The user is able to directly chat with, or call AppointMate to assist them during scheduling. The agents' response system seamlessly built into the application gives the user a fast, automated customer service experience.
How we built it
AppointMate application was built using React front end development with a backend employing Teli AI's API.
Challenges we ran into
Initially we had issues trying to utilize the Teli AI API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that despite the initial failed efforts, we still worked as a team to solve the problems.
What we learned
We learned about how to use Teli AI's API to integrate with our application.
What's next for AppointMate
AppointMate will continue to be of assistance to users who seek an automated scheduling tool!
