Inspiration
Seeing a gap in hands-on, interactive learning for students from diverse backgrounds, we envisioned ARbotics: where Augmented Reality meets Robotics, creating an inclusive educational paradigm.
What it does
ARbotics transports learners into an augmented realm where they interact with robots in real-time, enabling hands-on learning that bridges the digital and physical worlds. It democratizes quality STEM education for everyone.
How we built it
We integrated AR technologies with IoT-enabled robotics, utilizing JavaScript and Python for real-time device communication. Custom AR markers were developed to represent various robotics scenarios.
Challenges we ran into
Synchronizing real-time movements between AR interfaces and robotics was complex. Achieving seamless user experience across different devices posed integration hurdles.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully creating an interactive and fully functional AR-robotic interface, witnessing students from diverse demographics engage, learn, and innovate, has been our proudest moment.
What we learned
Beyond technical skills, we learned the importance of accessibility in education. We saw firsthand how blending technology types can lead to innovative, inclusive educational tools.
What's next for ARbotics
We aim to expand ARbotics into various curricula, partnering with educational institutions, and refining our platform based on user feedback, ensuring every learner has the future at their fingertips.
