Inspiration

We were inspired by the prompt of "how can we make lesser known art more known?". When we think of art, we always think of Leonardo Da Vinci or classic paintings. So we wanted to take the knowledge that users had and give them a new style of art to explore.

What it does

The website has a gallery page. The gallery page shows the top, more "well-known art" and has the lesser known art style on the bottom.

How we built it

We built it using a simple HTML, CSS, and Javascript website template. We used Google Cloud for deploying the website, CircleCI for the backend, twilio for a sms chatbot.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges when we were figuring out on how to link the the images and pictures in the actual site. However, we asked each other for help and put the images as a downloaded file in the template.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we formatted the pictures and paragraphs in the website.

What we learned

We learned a lot about new art styles and artists!

What's next for Artrisktake

We would love to work on an artist page and showcase the talented, minority artists in this field since they also do not have a lot of attention. We would also love to implement a user-input survey so that users themselves can figure out how to suggest the artists they love to be showcased in the gallery!
