Inspiration
The challenge was to insight clients to buy their cars online.
What it does
It is a website where the user creates a profile. Using data from the person's driving habits and some extra information that he fills in the website presents different cars that match each buyer. This is a personalized shopping experience that you cannot have in a dealership.
How we built it
We used html and css to build the user interface. We used javascript for the backend and the algorithm that picks which cars to present to the user.
Challenges we ran into
This was a very short hackathon so time was the biggest issue. We had to rush through a lot of the design to be ale to finish on time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is a very good idea that can really improve the experience of buying cars online.
What we learned
We learned to use javascript thoroughly to produce an algorithm and a proper backend.
What's next for AutoMatch
We would like to improve our code and algorithm. We were only able to implement some of the factors we wanted to.
