About the Project

It started with a simple frustration: we generate so many ideas, but they rarely move beyond sticky notes, chat threads, or scattered documents. The spark for Autothinker–Tableau came when we asked ourselves: what if ideas could turn instantly into data-driven insights we could see, share, and act on?

From that thought, the project took shape.

We built Autothinker to capture raw ideas and structure them into workflows, tasks, and execution steps. But the magic happened when we connected it with Tableau. Suddenly, those same ideas could flow directly into real-time dashboards, transforming brainstorming into something you could see and measure.

The build wasn’t smooth. We wrestled with Salesforce OAuth settings, battled with file type restrictions, and had to quickly learn the quirks of Named Credentials just to bridge Autothinker with Tableau. More than once, validation errors threatened to derail us. But each challenge pushed us to simplify, prioritize, and find faster ways forward.

In the end, we had something we didn’t just imagine — we could demo it. An idea typed into Autothinker could become a dataset, then a chart, then a living dashboard in Tableau.

That moment felt like the project’s turning point. The proof that:

\text{AI Thinking Speed} + \text{Data Visualization Clarity} = \text{Smarter, Faster Decisions}

We walked away not only with a working integration, but with a deeper belief: that hackathon ideas don’t have to die in chat logs — they can evolve into actionable intelligence. And Autothinker–Tableau is our first step in making that real.
