Inspiration

What inspired us to create axoLife was we thought that it would be useful for college students if they have a fun study tool that they can use whenever they want.

What it does

axoLife is a chrome extension that helps college students with their mental wellness. It has three modes which is study, eat, nap and each mode has a different animation of the axolotl to match the mode. The axolotl is there to provide comfort by providing motivational messages and when the user chooses a certain mode, the axolotl does the same activity with the user. Whether studying, napping, or eating, axoLife is meant to be a comforting buddy that can be with the user at any time.

How we built it

We built our project software through Javascript and we created our designs through Figma and animations through Procreate.

Challenges we ran into

We faced a lot of challenges but one of the problems we ran into was fitting some of our drawings into our screens on Figma. Additionally, trying to finish our entire prototype, coding, and designs within a day was difficult as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the designs we created and the amount of planning and coding that was done within a day. Additionally, we're very proud of being able to create original animations as this is our first time implementing a platform with animations.

What we learned

We learned how to utilize Figma to implement our prototype, create designs and animations, and create coding for the timer.

What's next for axoLife

After this hackathon, we plan on further developing axoLife by creating a better interface and overall better layout so that it can have more functions.
