Inspiration

My inspiration came by learning about Aztec culture how they worshiped a flying serpent and how they sacrificed human hearts to their gods (This help me realize this can be a snake game). Also the original snake has always been my favorite game to program. I done it before on other platform. I happy that i was able to due in 3D (VR and mobile)

What it does

In Mobile you ride a snake that starts small then grows by eating hearts. The challenge is trying to compete with other players and trying to no hit a wall.

How we built it

It was build by first prototyping the snake mechanics, I was trying to figure out how will it work and will it grow and how to optimize the iterations on each frame.

Challenges we ran into

One big challenge i ran into is figuring out how to make the snake as smooth as possible, It was first choppy when it grew. but the more i analyzed the math i learn that i had a small mistake that caused that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that i was able to make the snake game in horizon something i always wanted to do. I proud of mechanics so how the snake moves and grows is the highlight for me.

What we learned

I'm always learning something new with every new project. This one really push me to try to learn more 3D modeling. I took me a while to figure how to get the toon look I was looking for

What's next for Aztec Snake

My next improvements are to have more snake designs for the user to purchase and upgrade. I would also like to model an Aztec village so the player can go and buy the stuff for the snake there. Also i added 1 npc i would like to finish it off and have more npcs able to play with you.
