Inspiration

Awareness of people always lying on their resumes, aiming to falsely bolster themselves for an unfair advantage. We aim to bring back a sense of integrity to the ambition of career improvement. This also holds people accountable for the work they actually do.

What it does

Allows transparent badges to be given out by issuers to all users. These badges exist transparently on the chain, so are provable and undeniable.

How we built it

We developed a React frontend and used anchor to interface with a Solana smart contract powering the backend. We have an external database connecting users with their identifying addresses, but all badge-related data is stored for each user in smart contract accounts on Solana! Learning how to develop and interact with Solana smart contracts was very difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We locked in and figured out how to seamlessly integrate a Solana program with React, successfully completing our product idea and shipping a website.

What's next for Credly

Adding a dynamic space system, so that individuals are no longer limited by fixed block/account sizes.
Expand the types of provable traits we can provide for.
