Inspiration

We wanted to create an app that would transform our voice notes from whatsapp to text. A very common situation happens every time we are someplace where you can't play the voice note and still are very curious to hear what they want to say. What if it was an emergency? From that, we realized not everyone can hear at all. Maybe we could create an app to change this.

What it does

The BeeText app records voice notes in real-time and tranforms it to text. Not only that, it may be also translated into another language in case you can't speak/understand the language the voice-note was originally recorded. We plan to later implement the feature of uploading existing voice-notes to tranform those into text too.

How we built it

We built the app using android studio. We used API

Challenges we ran into

Some of our team members were new to android development, also the use of some API's was not straightforward and we lost one of our team members.
