What it does

Bia allows users to search through companies and view their rankings based on certain categories. Users can create an account using Google Firebase and create a profile with features such as a profile picture, full name, level of education, and a tagline.

How we built it

We built Bia using Android Studio and Google Firebase

Challenges we ran into

We ran into various challenges with Gradle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of having created a fully working Android app with the majority of our planned core features.

What we learned

We learned a lot about integrating several developers' code on Android Studio into a cohesive app, as well as UI design. We also learned new information about the current situation of women in STEM careers through our research.

What's next for Bia

Further integration of company data from sites such as Glassdoor and LinkedIn into databases An integrated job application system that allows users to network with and apply to companies Implement Cloud Firestore to store user profiles, allowing users to view others' profiles and network A tag search system that allows users to search companies based on specific tags Implement machine learning to create company scores based on a variety of factors related to empowering women
