Inspiration
Inadequate medical diagnosis in remote areas(rural, IDPs, refugee camps) lead to myriad number of deaths and unattended medical cases in the area. In fact, medical expert volunteers are insufficient due to insecurity, inconvenience, climatic/environmental contraint and so on. Case study- ECG Arrhythmia diagnosis
What it does
Our solution will provide on-site medical device that measure/take ECG reading and vital sign of patients The device transmits the data to a centralized semi-autonomous IoT platform where volunteer medical expert can access and give simple medical diagnosis and call for quick attention should they encounter a very critical case.
How we built it
We built the medical device using Arduino MCU, ESP8266-01(WiFi module) and AD8232(ECG module)
We develop the IoT platform using Thingsboard(AngularJS for front-end and Springboot for back-end )
Challenges we ran into
Insufficient time to do full implementation , Scarcity of materials
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are able to build a bare minimum prototype that is able to take ECG reading and sends it to an IoT platform.
What we learned
Teamwork, IoT
What's next for Bio-remote
Adding AI capability to The IoT platform Incorporating blockchain technology to the stack.
Built With
- arduino
- thingsboard
