Inspiration

I am always procastinating, so I wanted to create a way to weight the importance of my tasks and from there be able to create a custom schedule and an integrated timer with the help of the Pomodoro method. This is a method which helps break up tasks into bite sized 20 minute tasks with a five minute break in between.

What it does

I wanted for the page to be able to take user input of what the task entails (such as how difficult the task it is, how long will it take, how close the deadline is) and then be able to take difficult tasks and easy tasks and arrange them in order. I would include a timer to give the user breaks.

How we built it

I am in the process of building the interface with Qoom. I was really confused at first because I had very little knowledge from the last time I worked with Javascript. So, I put a halt to the project and followed one of Qoom's tutorials which was creating a poll with user input.

Challenges we ran into

I didn't know how to use javascript. I went to Qoom's tutorials for help, and I found something very similar to what I was looking for. Bite Task is incomplete because I spent a lot of time searching aimlessly for Javascript help. Qoom had really clear instructions on working with Javascript, so it was really helpful.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I was able to come up with an idea which can actually be implemented, and it is also something that I would personally use.

What we learned

I learned that the internet is a very useful reasource because I was able to find examples of what I needed to do and implement it to my own use and combine what I knew with what I was learning.

What's next for Bite Task

The next step for Bite Task is to actually finish it! I am actually really excited to finish this project because I know the UI can be extremely minimalistic to make it look sleek, and I also know that I will be using this on a daily basis once I finish it.
