Inspiration

Morning sucks! Let's make it suck less. We found ourselves often not dressing appropriately for the weather or being late due to traffic as getting necessary information often requires going into multiple apps, and who has time for that in the morning?. That's why we built bixel, where you can check all of this in one app, plus play your morning Spotify playlist to get you pumped in the morning.

What it does

Bixel allows you to view the weather, check traffic, and open your Spotify playlist all packaged into one cute pixel themed app.

How we built it

Using Django, Spotify api, open-meteo weather api, and here geolocation api

Challenges we ran into

We challenged ourselves to learn something new so this is some of our first time using Django, as such, there was a lot of nuances of Django that we had to learn

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting all the apis to connect while learning Django was a challenge but we were able to make it work in the end.

Django! Being a bit more organized when working together.
