Inspiration

We're all members of SPEAR and we wanted to try a smaller scale project under a 24 hour time limit.

What it does

Drives, turns Avoids objects with photo sensors Detects squares seen on a live webcam using shape recognition software

How we built it

We used lego Mindstorms to build the actual robot, and we coded it in C++ and Python. We also used ROS, and opencv to send commands and detect objects with a camera.

Challenges we ran into

Raspberry Pi gave us nothing but trouble

Opencv can not be learned well in under 24 hours

Facial detection, coordinate x-y navigation
