Inspiration

We wrote down the word productivity and wrote down all the words that came to mind when thinking about that word. From there, that lead us to the phrase body doubling since two of the group members have ADHD. From there we developed this service which we believe would increase not only people with ADHD's productivity but also just the average person here at RIT and for colleges across the nation.

What it does

It is an app that you can sign in to that will pair you up with a body double based on the location you select.

How we built it

We built the app using a w3schools template that we edited with our own HTML, CSS and JavaScript in order to customize the user's experience.

Challenges we ran into

Having to either learn or reteach ourselves certain aspects of the coding languages as well as changing up the leadership dynamic within the group.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of specifically the logo that we drew from scratch, how we demonstrated the login page, and how much everyone contributed to the group dynamic as a whole.

What we learned

How to step down from power and let a different person than usual take charge, a lot more about front-end development, and how to have fun in stressful situations.

What's next for Body Double

If this demo goes well, we want to take this project to the Society of Software Engineers here at RIT to get a bigger team to work on this project in a more planned out and thoughtful manner to create the basis of the open-source software that can be replicated and tailored to different colleges around the world.
