Inspiration
I've always loved games that stimulate my mind in some away, its sad that there aren't enough out there, or that are free.
What it does
Brain-Q is a very fun and enticing game that challenges your mind, with a group of puzzles, challenge and know yourself, push your limits, and enjoy yourself while doing it. You'll practice with Logic, Memory, Math, and more categories to test your limits.
How we built it
This app is a web app built with Nextjs (Typescript) on Amazon Amplify and a lot of code generation with Amazon Q developer
Challenges we ran into
Hmmm, well so far working with the new technologies have been challenging, Amazon Q generates code very elegantly, a few issues I had were easily maxing out the text limit, some weired bug about span tags always missing their closing tags, I think just those two.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Words can't really explain how I feel concerning this project, from just deliberating on what to build to a fully functional conception with future updates coming.
What we learned
I learnt a lot on using AWS console, AWS Amplify data schema and management, querying the Amazon Q developer properly with some constraints like max text size.
What's next for BrainQ
Basically I would like to add multiplayer sessions where users can go head to head on different categories to compare performance, progress, speed and also have fun while at it. I would also possibly include a training mode, where users can purposely select certain categories to train on without worrying about their performance. That would most likely be it.
