Inspiration
After numerous coding interviews and using multiple mock coding websites, there wasn't really one that was more than a list of coding problems. It was hard finding assistance, so I thought about creating one with ChatGPT incorporated into it.
What it does
Allow users to practice and learn coding problems with the help of ChatGPT acting as a virtual mentor.
How we built it
Using ExpressJS as the backend integrated with the OpenAI API. For the frontend we used ReactJS and JavaScript. We also used Figma for the UI/UX designs.
Challenges we ran into
Too many: lack of time, ChatGPT API key not working, and API requests that were blocked by CORS policies.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created a starting demo, incorporated ChatGPT, and have a semi functional interface
What we learned
ChatGPT is only free for the first $18 or first three months.
What's next for Brick Code
After the hackathon, we might try and do improvements on stuff that we couldn't finish, such as a fully functional rewards system, more in depth AI features, and a better coding editor
