Inspiration
Desire to inform people about their political candidates while parodying Tinder.
What it does
Generates a random array of regional politicians and presents them with some of their policies. If the user is interested in the politician, they can select him or her. A new window will then open with that candidate's website and a tracker will note if the candidate was democratic or republican. After list has been completed, the user is informed of their party association and has more knowledge about their candidates.
How we built it
One person created an html webpage and the database. Another person made it look pretty. The last person coded if in the greatest language ever, JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
Databases, making designs scale, and efficiently dividing work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Actually putting together a functional project because this was our first Hackathon and pretty scrolling.
What we learned
JavaScript. Bootstrap. Integrating HTML and CSS.
What's next for Cadi-Date
Designing Cadi-Date to scale with mobile devices and accessing a database specific to the user's region.
