Inspiration

Our friend Rayyaan, wanted to share his barber skills with his fellow peers here at UCI, but struggled to put himself out there and get a foot in the door. We soon realized that there are many university students like Rayyaan who want to share their talents with their community, and created CampusGlam.

What it does

CampusGlam is not just an on-campus service app, it's a vibrant marketplace exclusively featuring student-run businesses in beauty, nails, barbershops, and more. You can discover and book high-quality services provided by your fellow students who are passionate about their craft. With a community-driven approach, CampusGlam creates a trusted ecosystem that empowers student entrepreneurs while offering affordable and convenient services to the entire campus community!

How we built it

We focused a lot of our time into design and the frontend of the app, utilizing React-native to build it.

Challenges we ran into

We wanted to create a unique idea that takes a business marketplace and put a creatitve and intruiging experience fit for college students.
