Inspiration

Managing finances can feel overwhelming, especially for young adults and first-time savers. Many people struggle with budgeting, investing, and setting financial goals, often leading to financial stress. We wanted to change that.

CapitalRewards was born from a simple idea: What if saving money felt as rewarding as playing a game? By combining AI-driven financial insights with gamified savings, we set out to make banking fun, engaging, and accessible to everyone.

How We Built It

CapitalRewards is a full-stack web application that integrates AI-powered financial advice, goal tracking, and a rewards system to help users build better financial habits.

  • Backend: Built with Flask (Python), handling user authentication, savings goals, and AI-driven responses.
  • Frontend: Designed using HTML, CSS (Tailwind), and JavaScript for an intuitive and accessible UI.
  • AI Chatbot: Powered by Google Gemini API, offering real-time investment advice and savings insights.
  • Gamification: Users earn badges, rewards, and progress tracking to make saving money feel fun and interactive.

What We Learned
