What it does

A pixel art, adventure video game that uses APIs for additional functionality and creativity.

How we built it

Using Unity and GitHub (also a lot of snacks!)

Challenges we ran into

GitHub and Unity had lots of merge conflict issues, as MainScene does not merge well. We had to duplicate MainScene, work on our own versions of it and then combine those manually together after pushing. Gemini has low daily limits for API usage, but we have a screenshot of it working successfully. There were also issues with ElevenLabs API duplicating audio and playing them simultaneously, though that has been fixed in the final version.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting along with each other and collaborating together was something to be proud of. Implementing the APIs in creative ways was a fun challenge, and we have learnt it can reduce game development time significantly, for example voice acting.

What we learned

Having a refresher on Unity, as well as implementing APIs and collaboratives coding practices. Non technical skills such as communication, problem solving and negotiation were also valuable skills learned.
