Inspiration

Cardio-Sync was born out of a desire to make healthcare more accessible to all citizens during these uncertain times with the epidemic, when doctor's visits are constantly being postponed. We were also compelled to develop an app that would be accessible across all mobile devices, as this would broaden our reach.

What it does

Cardio-Sync is a remote-testing medical kit that utilizes various Arduino biosensors to monitor cardiovascular health data, as well as artificial intelligence to communicate the patient's data to the physician's Emergency Medical Records (EMR).

How we built it

We built our site on google sites and the prototype kit will use Arduino technology.

Challenges we ran into

We experienced some trouble with filming our video as the various visuals we were incorporating were not being displayed as planned. As well, we initially had trouble narrowing down our project details into a 3-minute video because we focused a lot of our time on ironing out specific details. Regardless, this was to be expected because the issue with any idea pitch is to properly condense your sales pitch in a short amount of time. After all, you only have a few minutes to sell your idea to your audience in the real world.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our google site, as we believe it is detailed, organized and user-friendly for all. (This is something that we made sure to take under consideration because healthcare is universal, so people of all ages would be using our website)

What we learned

Through this hackathon we have learned a lot regarding the Arduino technology and the various projects that it assist in creating. We also developed a better understanding for how IoT (Specifically API) and how it can be optimized to benefit the healthcare industry - through communicating with Emergency Medical Records.

What's next for Cardio-Sync

Next steps for Cardio-Sync can be seen in our website below.
