Why Air Can Hub?

Every year, thousands of shipments are lost or delayed through inefficient freight tracking. We envision a novel application of the ONE RECORD system that enables robustness and transparency to all stakeholders at every step. Air Can Hub provides simple and effective solution for tracking and cooperation among all freight parties.

What does Air Can Hub do?

All stakeholders of any shipment can easily monitor its status anywhere, anytime. Freight operators of any freight parties need only to scan a package’s barcode when they receive and send it, and a centralized data storage powered by One Record and MongoDB will share that data across the cloud. This data enables seamless collaboration by giving transport partners immediate and complete transparency, thus reducing human-errors and human delays. Using Air Can Hub, we will easily be able to track lost or missing packages with a simple scan of the barcode.

How is Air Can Hub doing it?

Air Can Hub is powered by Open Source technologies. The solution is built on a multi-platforms foundation using the React framework, cutting-edge computer vision technology, One Record API and MongoDB. We use Heroku as our IAAS provider and manager.

What were Air Can Hub’s challenges?

We were able to deploy and execute many One Record API calls. However, there are many queries that were not able to be run successfully. We resolute this issue by continually develop around these blockers so that when they are resolved, we already have subsequent developments.

What did Air Can Hub accomplish?

We had a functional single page architecture that references One Record API calls. We strictly use Open Source technologies, enabling Air Can Hub to be improved upon by any developers and mitigate licensing risks.
