Inspiration:

Our project was inspired by a terrifying, modern reality: Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior (CIB). Traditional business intelligence tools are useless against this threat. They are like a fire alarm that goes off after the building has already burned down. We were inspired to build a solution that doesn't just passively listen to conversations but proactively hunts for malicious activity, giving companies an autonomous defense system against modern digital warfare.

What it does:

Project Veritas is an autonomous corporate defense platform that moves a company from a reactive, defensive posture to one of proactive, intelligent threat hunting. It uses a sophisticated, multi-layered algorithm to analyze the behavioral DNA of social media conversations, distinguishing between genuine customer outrage and a coordinated disinformation attack. It then provides a clear, actionable dashboard and automates a response playbook directly in the flow of work.

How we built it:

We built Project Veritas as a complete, end-to-end solution using the entire Tableau Next ecosystem.

The Brain:

The intelligence of our system is built directly into the Tableau Semantic Layer. We created a complex algorithm that calculates key scores for every single post: a Bot Authenticity Score, an Amplification Velocity Score, and a Sentiment Toxicity Score. These combine into our single, definitive Narrative Threat Score.

The Sentinel:

Our Tableau Agentic AI constantly monitors this threat score. It is autonomously programmed to detect a sudden, unnatural spike in negative posts, which is the clear "aha!" moment of a coordinated attack.

The Action Engine:

Our Action Engine is a closed-loop system that transforms Tableau Next insights into immediate, automated actions in Salesforce. Triggered by a dashboard action, our Salesforce Flow allows an analyst to select hostile bots and, with a single click, auto-creates a high-priority Incident Case. The flow dynamically links the case to the hostile user's record and flags their account as "Under Review," closing the gap between analysis and operational response and enabling rapid, data-driven defense against disinformation campaigns.

The Command Center:

The Veritas Command Center is our master Tableau Next dashboard, providing a full forensic analysis of disinformation campaigns powered by our proprietary "Veritas Threat Engine." It visualizes the threat's timeline, origin, and hostile actors, while our Agentic AI can sends critical insights and threat summaries to a dedicated Slack channel for immediate team discussion. This seamless integration allows our team to collaborate on the validated intelligence and then take decisive action—such as creating an incident response case in Salesforce—directly from the dashboard, turning discussion into defense in real-time.

Challenges we ran into -

The biggest challenge we faced was not technical but conceptual. We had to move away from the traditional business intelligence mindset of simply visualizing data. The real complexity lies in distinguishing between genuine, organic behavior and sophisticated, malicious activity. Building an algorithm to perform forensic analysis of behavioral DNA was the core challenge, as it requires moving beyond simple sentiment analysis and understanding the context behind the data.

Accomplishments that we're proud of -

We are incredibly proud of creating Project Veritas, a complete, end-to-end corporate defense platform that moves beyond passive reporting to provide a truly autonomous and actionable solution to a massive, modern business threat.

Our key accomplishments include:

Developing the "Veritas Threat Engine": Our greatest achievement was designing a sophisticated, multi-layered threat detection algorithm directly within the Tableau Semantic Layer. By creating proprietary scores like Bot Authenticity and Amplification Velocity, we built an intelligent "brain" that can forensically analyze the behavioral DNA of social media conversations to distinguish a coordinated bot attack from genuine customer feedback.

Building a True Closed-Loop System: We successfully bridged the critical gap between insight and action. Using a Tableau Next Dashboard Action, we empowered analysts to select hostile actors on a chart and, with a single click, trigger a Salesforce Flow. This flow instantly and automatically creates a high-priority Incident Case, links it directly to the hostile user's record, and flags the account as "Under Review," transforming a 15-minute manual process into a one-second, data-driven action.

Creating a User-Centric, Multi-Tiered Analytical Experience: We designed not just one, but three distinct dashboards tailored to specific user needs: a master "Veritas Command Center" for strategic overview, and two focused, record-level dashboards designed to be embedded directly within Salesforce, providing analysts with critical context without ever leaving their workflow.

What we learned:

We learned that the future of analytics is not just about better charts but about proactive, intelligent action. A company's most valuable assets can be protected not by a reactive dashboard but by an autonomous system that acts on its behalf. We've proven that Tableau Next is not just a visualization tool; it is a platform for building autonomous, mission-critical business applications.
