Inspiration

We drew inspiration from the Metroidvania genre of games.

What it does

Our game is a Metroidvania-esque adventure that challenges players to manage a tight inventory while navigating through a cave system with a gradually shrinking player camera.

How we built it

We utilized Godot and GitHub for development.

Our main challenges included learning the Godot engine, crafting assets, and designing hitboxes.

We started from scratch with the Godot framework and developed our first game, gaining invaluable experience along the way.

What's next for CaveKnights

Our next steps involve adding a wider variety of items and enemies to enrich the gameplay. We also plan to enhance the game with more character animations.
