Inspiration

We wanted to create a website that provides both entertainment for people and contributes to social good. We were inspired by both the Jackbox game Tee K.O. and the website freerice.com in that every time a game is completed an item of clothing is donated to people who cannot afford clothing.

What it does

Our overall idea for the project was that the website would host a game room for people to compete in T-shirt designing. The player would be able to submit multiple drawings using our whiteboard and a few slogans to be randomly matched with the drawings. The T-shirt designs from the participants, complete with the design and the slogan, would be randomly matched up against each other in tournament style. The participants except the designers themselves would then vote for the best drawing in each round. The winner then has the opportunity to donate an item of clothing under their name to a person in need free of charge. The cost would be covered by our possible sponsors and/or ad revenue.

Currently, the features that we can showcase are:

  • The website and its design, completed with HTML/CSS and JavaScript using Bootstrap.
  • The whiteboard that the users can use to submit two drawings and a form that can be used to send five slogans, created with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Express.js.

What's next for ChampionShirt

We hope to complete our proposed features and make the website functional, where users can expect to participate in a fun game against other people in designing silly T-shirts and also bring good in our society. Once our website is complete, we're hoping to obtain sponsors and insert ads to be able to provide clothing for the people who cannot afford them.
