The main problem with electric vehicles is that people are too scared to drive them outside of areas that they know due to a limited number of charging stations. In many areas, these electric charging stations are very sparse, so drivers only travel very short distances with their 0-emissions vehicles. ChargeMap solves this problem by providing drivers with a list of the nearest charging stations for their electric vehicle based on their location. It provides the most important information like connector type, address, and hours of operation.
Once the locate button is pressed, users can choose from the three closest charging ports sorted by distance. Drivers can then select to see more details about each charging port in order to find the one that is most convenient for the driver.
With drivers now more confident driving on the roads with their electric cars, more and more 0-emissions vehicles will be on the road, and carbon emissions growth will hinder.
