Inspiration
Mental health is starting to become a global concern ever since the pandemic hits. Millions of people are currently in a negative state of mind as we speak. People are struggling to cope with these changes which negatively affect their mental health. Other than that, there has been an overflow of bad news going on in the world. To brighten up the mood, we created an application to put a smile on people’s faces. Bringing warmth digitally could help improve customers' mood and add more positivity to the world.
What it does
This application is a comforting welcome to everyone regardless of what they’ve been through. It uses AI and facial recognition to detect a customer’s mood and give them an appropriate response to ease their mind. We use several different mediums of communication to interact with the user. Our interactive method involves art therapy, music, painting, drama, and dance.
How we built it
Utilising the resources and workshops as well as other digital tools such as Figma for prototyping, OpenCV, Google AppSheet, CapCut, PyCharm IDE
Challenges we ran into
When working with our team members, we had different ideas and skills, which initially posed a challenge since we had to figure out which idea is the most suitable in the time to complete and how to delegate tasks across our team.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the team commitment and equal distribution of work which lead to the success to the whole project. The whole future is on our hands.
What we learned
We learned that there are Art therapy services provided on the App Store but there’s only meditation and the colouring through kind of apps. Consequently, we decide to include more forms of art therapy like music, drama, paint, drawing, and photography
What's next for Charmony
In the future, perhaps using more of Google Cloud Services to further enhance the functions and features of the Charmony app.
