**CHAT FOR HER**
Inspiration
Lady Ada Lovelace...she is basically the mother of programming languages...but when we talk about women who code, society has a very different perspective for it. To break through the stereotypes, WOMEN SHOULD TAKE UP THE CHALLENGES . As Ginny Rometty said " GROWTH AND COMFORT DO NOT COEXIST ".
What it does
It is a real time web-based chat application that enables to connect the members and supporters.
It has event rooms were the people of common interest can join and chat about their ideas.
How we built it
Everything starts with research, we did a lot of research!! Planning out the workflow was the next part, we divided the work made the components and assembled them. Finally all-together we worked on providing the finishing touches.
We made it on Visual Studio Code, using HTML, CSS, JS, NODEJS, EXPRESS, MOMENT.
Challenges we ran into
We faced so many challenges:
1.Since this is our first hackathon...so the very first challenge was this only, lack of prerequisites.
2.Assembeling the stuff, that we made was a bit challenging too.
3.Fixing the errors, it took HOURS!!..to fix them
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The very first thing is...we finally made it to here, we made the project and soon we'll be submitting it.
It's really fascinating, how people sitting kilometers apart can work on a same project.
Fixing errors was a challenge... but solving them gave so much satisfaction.
What we learned
We learnt about real life problems, and how we work on them... this was our very first hackathon experience and we are very much satisfied with it. We learnt about Socket.io...various types of errors and how to resolve them. And a bunch of valuable real life skills, which surely is a takeaway form this hackathon.
What's next for Chat For Her
There is always scope for improvement, more features could be added to it like...speech recognition, sending images, files, emojis, stickers etc.
