Inspiration
Checklist is a native iOS app that targets a broad audience of doers. It's 2017 now and there is no existing task management app catered to the needs of the public (ignoring enterprise software). Although there are many (and we mean many) task management / to-do list applications on the market, we took a different approach to the traditional to-do list model.
By leveraging enterprise infrastructure principles, we designed a to-do list application which had automated reminders to avoid procrastination and increase productivity among our users. Our targets were not only to increase productivity, but also to slowly change habits by giving constant reminders at an exponential rate and a "check" date that is a pre-set calculated date that is assigned, typically before something is due.
What it does
Helps users manage their busy schedule with to-do list items and automatic reminders with "check" date ensuring efficiency and completion of tasks. Offers progress bar, automated reminding, timed reminders, and tagged functionality.
How I built it
Swift, Xcode, Marvel, Sketch
Challenges I ran into
Our challenge was the difficulty of the project itself having so many competitors and having a need to differentiate ourselves. Coming up with the unique functionality that we believed would resolve modern issues with traditional to-do list apps was the most challenging task.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
UI/UX design, proof of concept, prototype functionality.
What I learned
UI/UX design, Swift, Xcode
What's next for Checklist
Scaling the application to incorporate calendars (google calendar) and other softwares to provide a wholesome application that will be the go-to software for public task management.
