Inspiration

We were inspired by the designs of popular websites like apple.com and wanted to create a unique design for a chemical searching app.

What it does

It allows HP's customers to search for a particular chemical in HP's database and return the chemical along with some additional information about the chemical.

How we built it

We used Django for the webpage and SQL for the database, along with python.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest hurdles was the lack of memory. My laptop would frequently crash when processing the code due to it's large size.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to make a web app in 24 hours, something which we haven't done before

What we learned

Teamwork is very important for hackathons. United we stand, divided we fall. We also learned about the various processes and methods in which companies like HP and SAP do their day to day operations from their very useful workshops.
