Inspiration

We were inspired by the fact that we, and all our friends, have a bad habit of spending too much money online. After all, it's so easy to press 'checkout'!

What it does

Our browser extension will pop up every time you press 'checkout' and ask you if your purchase is really necesssary. This will discourage you from spending recklessly. As well, it will ask you if you'd like to look at secondhand options instead, which will take you to our website. There are extra features, such as implementing a one-week block for purchases - if you really need it, you'll remember it in a week! Additionally, we have a super fun shopping trolley racing game where you can earn fuel from your savings to compete with friends.

How we built it

We have built the prototype using Figma.

Challenges we ran into

Coming up with a colour scheme and formatting in a way that's easily digestible but contains all relevant information.

We are going to implement it for real! It would be nice to take this into the real world.
