Inspiration

I love cherries, and I love beautiful designs! I aimed to build an elegant, simple, and mouthwatering experience for fellow cherry enthusiasts.

What it does

Cherrypicked.online is a beautifully website dedicated to all things cherry. It showcases a carefully curated collection of premium products, ranging from orchard-fresh fruit to home decor and dresses. The site provides a seamless and visually appealing shopping experience, allowing users to discover and purchase high-quality, handpicked items with ease (for now only on on external websites, specifically Amazon).

How we built it

We built Cherrypicked.online on Bolt.new, and provided the product content in .json format & upload images that were created with openart.ai

Deployment

The application is hosted on Netlify & has it's own url via Entri/Get.online

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was supplying images of the sold products without breaking any copyright rules since Amazon does not provide an image in its affiliate links anymore until you've reached a certain amount of affiliate sales. We had to add some restrictions to the prompt to avoid the website 'overpromises' or 'lies' about e.g. number of products for sale & '5 star reviews'.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're incredibly proud of the final aesthetic. We're also proud of creating a clean, responsive design that works beautifully on both desktop and mobile devices. All accomplished in a minimal amount of time & with a minimal amount of Bolt.new credits.

What we learned

I learned Bolt.new can help tremendously to move a project forward on a tight deadline. If you put some time in creating a good initial prompt with clear instructions & content such as .json & images you can get amazing results fast.

What's next for Cherrypicked.online

The journey is just beginning! Our immediate next step is to expand the product catalog with more unique, artisanal cherry products.
