CherWardrobe was inspired by the classic Clueless scene where Cher scrolls through her iconic digital closet to pick out outfits. We loved the idea of turning a boring everyday task of choosing what to wear into something fun, interactive, and aesthetically pleasing. But we didn’t just want to recreate Cher’s closet; we wanted to modernize it for a generation that loves creativity, social interaction, and personalization.

That’s how the idea evolved into something bigger than an outfit picker. We turned it into a playful, social platform where friends can interact, compete in outfit challenges, share mood boards, and generate personalized outfits based on clothes they actually own.

Building CherWardrobe taught us how deeply good design depends on real user needs. We learned to simplify flows, prioritize accessibility, and use Figma and FigmaMake to create cohesive UI components, animations, and interactive features. Our process started with low-fidelity sketches, mapping user needs before developing polished visuals and connecting flows into a functional prototype. Along the way, we navigated challenges like defining the right scope, designing for real wardrobes, balancing creativity with usability, and maintaining consistency across many screens under tight time pressure. In the end, CherWardrobe became more than a reimagined digital closet as it showed us how thoughtful, user-centered design can turn a mundane daily task into something social, engaging, and genuinely delightful.
