About

ChromatiCity is our take on the theme colour changes everything - it's a fast-paced speedrunning platformer where the player is able to transform the level as they play.

How we built it

ChromatiCity was built in Unity, with C# scripting and Shader Graph. We used the following third-party assets and packages:

All other assets are homemade. This includes the music, although it was not written specially for this game jam.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're really happy with the state of the game considering the two-week timeframe. We have most of the core gameplay systems working smoothly and implemented in a way that will allow us to easily extend it in the future. And we think it's pretty fun!

What we learned

One of our team members had not used Unity before, but they successfully contributed to the project by implementing the speedrun timer and helping with level design.

What's next for ChromatiCity

We'd like to expand the game with more levels, more gameplay mechanics, and more essential features like a level select menu. If all goes well, we're hoping to produce an original soundtrack and publish the game with leaderboards and achievements on Steam!
