Inspiration
Dance dance revolution and OSU
What it does
Generates a random beat for the user to memorize, then utilizes camera to detect claps and give a score based on how close the user's claps were to the randomly generated rhythm.
How we built it
We used python, mediapy, opencv, used to track landmarks on hands to detect closeness to count claps.
Challenges we ran into
We tried using a raspberry pi to make a physical element of the rhythm game, however, we didnt have any of the cables we needed to get into it, and could not get it onto the internet. We also broke 3 SD cards (through no fault of our own)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to accurately determine the time it takes for one clap and analyze its closeness to the the rhythm
What we learned
Some of us used openCV for the first time, some of us got more familiar with the terminal and the raspberry pi, and some of us learned more about electronics trying to get the pi to work
What's next for ClapMaster
Hopefully one day we can get the cables we need and then implement the led and motors for the physical part of the game
