Inspiration
About 40 percent of the plastic waste generated remains uncollected. Three of the ten rivers transporting most of the world’s plastic waste to the oceans are located in India. Most of this waste is generated by cities with poor municipal waste management systems located along those streams.
Low-income countries collect about 48% of waste in cities, but only 26% in rural areas

What it does
The app notifies garbage management officials of the location of copious amounts of garbage, so that they can be cleared as soon as possible. As a result, garbage is less likely to pose further threats such as runoff into bodies of water, or harm to wildlife. In addition, it allows roads and paths to be cleared from rubbish, allowing for a cleaner environment.
How we built it
We developed the digital prototype using Adobe XD. App is written in React + Typescript
Challenges we ran into
Lack of technical knowledge
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to identify and find a solution to a dire problem and was able to come up with visually pleasing design.
What we learned
We learn how to use Google Map API with React + Typescript, we also learn a lot regarding waste management
What's next for Cleaner Way
We reach out to departments responsible for waste management
