Inspiration

I've always adored study pet type apps where you can set a focus timer and gain virtual prizes for the more minutes you've supposedly spent studying. But what if we added more features past that timer?

What it does

CleverCritters is a study pet application! Start from an adorable egg that you can hatch and evolve as you study more! Take personalized quizzes, set study timers with pomodoro options, list tasks to complete, and look at study insights!

How I built it

React, Vite, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Gemini!

Challenges I ran into

A lot of values wouldn't update correctly or at all!

The clean interface and mostly working features!

AI can be a great tool for learning.

What's next for CleverCritters

I'd like to make custom sprites to give the critters more personality! I also want to add three egg options that lead to three different critters and improve the saved pet system. With that implemented I can create a shop/rewards system to use the points earned from study to buy accessories, food, and other rewards to use with the critters!
