Inspiration
Ever struggle to find a time to hangout with all your friends? Ever struggle to figure out what to do? Need date ideas? We were inspired by these problems and aim to create a user-friendly website for anyone to use to help plan their hangouts with their peers that can satisfy their interest, budgets, and time conflicts.
What it does
ClickMeet is an organizational web application empowered by the Bootstrap Framework, allowing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to flow seamlessly with Python and Firebase to work hand-in-hand with Google Gemini to generate fun activities based on a user's schedule.
Just put in your location, budget, interests, and available times for Gemini to generate 3 options to enjoy your days at. Additionally, you can invite friends to give their information to a joint schedule if you want to generate something fun for all of you to do.
How we built it
Frontend: Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Backend: Python (Flask), Firebase Generative AI Model: Google Gemini API
Challenges
We found it truly challenging to create the Firebase interface so that Gemini would be able to read different users' data from various devices. We also found it difficult to implement AI accurately without bogging down the system and making it run slowly
Features
-Features a dynamic, easy-to-use calendar and input system -Scalable with an infinite number of users -Takes location, budgets, and interests all into account -Gives multiple options -Links to find more information about a venue
What's next
-Adding personalized rooms so multiple groups can use website at once -Importing/Exporting to a file
