Inspiration

Small healthcare clinics are prime targets for cyberattacks, yet they lack the resources for proper recovery planning. With limited budgets and no dedicated IT teams, a single ransomware attack can devastate a practice financially and disrupt patient care for weeks. We built ClinicShield to generalize enterprise-level cyber resilience for small medical practices.

What it does

ClinicShield is the first AI-powered cyber recovery platform built specifically for healthcare practices. Our solution provides: AI Recovery Predictions: Machine learning trained on 150+ real clinic incidents predicts recovery times with ±1.2 week accuracy Financial Impact Assessment: Automated calculations of lost revenue, recovery costs, and insurance considerations Interactive Recovery Planning: Visual timelines and personalized strategies based on clinic size and attack type Real-time AI Assistant: Smart chatbot answers questions about cyber recovery, costs, and best practices

How we built it

Frontend: Clean, professional web application with responsive design and interactive visualizations AI/ML: Custom machine learning model trained on realistic clinic cyber incident data using Python Data Processing: Generated 150+ training scenarios covering ransomware, phishing, and data breach incidents User Experience: AI chatbot with a comprehensive knowledge base and smooth animations Design: Professional UI inspired by enterprise software with glass morphism and subtle patterns

Challenges we ran into

Struggling with how to analyze data effectively and tailor insights toward financial recovery Creating realistic training data for an ML model without access to sensitive real-world incident reports Navigating the complexity of insurance regulations and translating them into actionable guidance
