Inspiration
I was inspired by this project and track in general because I thought this track would push me to create a project that I can continue to work on after the hackathon and potentially use cloud services so the website is there for the real world. I am inspired by this track because it inspires projects that automate tasks for others.
What it does
ClientSync provides multiple features such as smooth contact management of clients/customers, email integration where you can send emails to other users, and an advanced analytics component that provides graphs and insights on the company to push for potential improvements.
How we built it
I built this using ReactJs, ChakraUI, and Tailwind for the frontend. For the backend I used Django and PostgresSQL for the Database.
Challenges we ran into
Some big challenges I ran into was integrating the backend and frontend, adding certain algorithms for analytics and machine learning, and integrating email services for the dashboard itself and the forgot your password page.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud that I was able to create a functional website for the first time. I am proud I was able to smoothly integrate Django specifically because I have always wanted to do a project which uses Python (specifically Django) for the backend. I am also proud of the machine learning algorithms I used (sentiment analysis, k-means clustering, and ensemble regression model) which created advanced analytics for the CRM.
What we learned
I learned the complicated but fun process of integrating machine learning and advanced analytics in a full stack application.
What's next for ClientSync
I aspire to continue working on this project in the future and use cloud services to deploy it once it reaches a very high potential.
