Inspiration
We were inspired to make Clipt because we noticed how efficient current methods of clipping streams were. There is always room for improvement in the entertainment industry and we believe that this could be one method of improvement.
What it does
It collects the best parts of a video and cuts it down into a short cinematic clip that can be posted on to social media.
How we built it
We utilized YouTube stream data to get portions of the video that were replayed the most. Additionally, ffmpeg played a huge role in transforming the audio and editing the video in the correct format. Moreover, we utilized MCP data to gather the most accurate information and LLM to process human language and generate captions.
Challenges we ran into
As beginners, we often ran into gaps in our understanding of data analytics and Generative AI. However by attending the workshops, we were able to gather fresh ideas and implement effective methods of representing data efficiently.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As beginner level coders we are just proud of the fact that we were able to develop a functional website prototype that can lead to a change in the social media industry.
What we learned
During Hacklytics, our team learned how to streamline data and utilize Microsoft Copilot for maximum productivity. The technology industry is constantly changing and with sponsors such as Figma, Databricks, and Sphinx, we were able to learn more about how data science can be used to automate our lives.
