Inspiration:

Our inspiration for CoalSea stemmed from a shared passion for both technology and adventure. We wanted to create an immersive experience that would educate, entertain, and challenge players through a blend of data science, interactive narratives, and cutting-edge technology. Our Project name CoalSea comes from Coal: which means going in-depth into technology, and sea: which is our hackathon theme.

What it does:

Part1: Legends of the Abyss Initiation (StreamLit)

In this stage, you'll find yourself immersed in a mysterious world of famous ships and fishes waiting to be discovered. But before we do, let's take a quick moment to appreciate the power of Streamlit. Just as Streamlit transforms data into interactive insights, our game transforms your imagination into reality. So, gear up, because the thrilling journey is about to begin – let's conquer that first stage and keep the adventure rolling!

Part 2: Nautical Puzzles Expedition (Soroban)

Congratulations, intrepid adventurer! You've successfully conquered the challenges of the first stage, and now, you're about to dive even deeper into the heart of our game's excitement. Welcome to the next stage, where we've harnessed the ancient power of the Soroban, the Japanese abacus, to calculate the distances between the famous ships of your choice. Ahoy, matey! As you advance further into your epic journey, a thrilling challenge awaits you in the Pirate's Cove. Here, hosted by the infamous pirate himself, you'll partake in a game to catch the most elusive of fishes. But don't worry, we've employed the mighty tech stack of AWS, GitHub, and Javascript to ensure this adventure is seamless and captivating. With your quick reflexes and keen eye, you'll navigate through this interactive experience, seizing the treasures of the deep blue sea. So, grab your virtual net and prepare to embark on a pirate's quest like no other!

Part 5a: Streamlining Team Tasks with Kintone (Kintone)

We've harnessed the incredible capabilities of Kintone as our project management application to streamline task management among our team. Kintone, with its low-code web database, allows us to set up and customize our backend in minutes, making it incredibly beginner-friendly. Through JavaScript and HTML, we've tailored our Kintone app to meet our unique needs. Plus, if you're interested in IoT, you can even score a FREE microcontroller by joining Kintone. And if you use Kintone in your hackathon project, there's a chance to win a breadboard IoT kit, powering up your hardware hacking endeavors for the entire team. Kintone - making project management a breeze!

Part 5b: MediGuard: Navigating Healthcare Safely (Figma)

Our quest: is to conquer the formidable challenge of reducing medical errors and accidents in healthcare settings. In response, we've crafted a visionary Figma prototype, designed to guide sailors through emergency medical situations with unprecedented precision and care. With its user-friendly interface, this cutting-edge tool empowers both sailors and medical professionals to navigate crises efficiently, ensuring a safer and more confident journey through the intricate world of healthcare. We're setting sail toward a future where healthcare safety knows no bounds, and medical errors become a relic of the past, all thanks to our unwavering commitment to safety and the unmatched power of technology.

Part 6: Verizon

VeriBot is an innovative chatbot that excels in accurately identifying and assisting Verizon customers, even when they use partial or abbreviated language. This cutting-edge bot streamlines and enhances communication with Verizon's customer service representatives, ensuring efficient and seamless interactions. By intelligently interpreting partial words and phrases, VeriBot ensures customers receive the support they need with ease and convenience, ultimately improving the overall customer experience.

How we built it:

The creation of CoalSea was a collaborative effort involving a diverse team of developers, designers, and data scientists. We leveraged a wide array of tools and platforms, including Streamlit, Soroban, AWS, GitHub, Figma, and Kintone, to build each stage with meticulous attention to detail and interactivity.

Challenges we ran into:
