Inspiration

This project takes inspiration from animal shelters and adoption centers throughout the world and combines it with the community and meetup aspect of Cars and Coffee.

What it does

Once CoffeeCat launches its goal is to connect cat lovers and cats around the world via the Hedera Blockchain.

How we built it

The frontend was built with next.js, the API handlers are AWS lambda functions written in Rust, and the Hedera blockchain serves as a data store for the signed up emails.

Challenges we ran into

• Writing a Hedera smart contract.
• Compiling a Hedera smart contract.
• Calling a Hedera smart contract.
