Inspiration
We felt that the Commons dining hall did not have good options, and we felt that many local businesses could get their names out there by providing their services at the commons
What it does
It is a platform to allow local businesses to apply to have their products sold in the commons. After they are approved, they can add their individual menu items and add tags. Then, the common user, students, can view all the menu items inputted by the restaurants and they can use filters to view only the stuff they want.
How we built it
We used Javascript, CSS, and HTML to write this.
Challenges we ran into
We were struggling to learn the languages, since not all of us had much experience, if any at all.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to create a presentable project.
What we learned
Frontend development involves lots of trial and error, despite its simpler nature.
What's next for Commons Yummification Project
We hope to create more interactve functionality and more ways for local businesses to gain popularity.
