Flu Map

What it does

Demostrate clusters and gives quick details about the outbreak with some basics predictions of the outbreak.

How I built it

This website is built in traditional javascript and html. The dashboards are powerded by AWS quicksight. The data comes CT_US_COVID_TESTS from the COVID Tracking Project, The JHU global case counts from John Hopkins University, and that demographic dataset provided by snowflake. The database behind it was a snowflake database.

What I learned

There are still so many unknowns when it comes to the virus and the future is still uncertain.

What's next for CovidMap

Improve our models and streamline the data process into an automatic workflow Add the rest of the world data!

I worked on the datasets and some theoretical predictive modeling that we were planning to incorporate but didn't make it to full implementation. This was my first hackathon & my first taste of epidemiology, and it was an extremely rewarding experience. It was also probably the most fun I've had in months. Thank you.
