How does it help in monetizing for new creators?

New and old creators alike have nearly gotten a LOT of money stolen due to reposting of contents, and copyright infringement, which they have no means of fighting against. Tying up with an MCN for this also ends up costing them a lot of money, and a lot of loss of privileges. Creatio aims to remove this middle man, and get creators their rightful earned money.

Inspiration

In 2018, almost $1.5 million were stolen from a team of creators due to an MCN going bankrupt. This was a well publicized event, by the famous Youtuber MatPat. MCNs are extremely important today, especially for protecting the copyrighted material of the creators. However, they take a huge cut. Also, for a new and upcoming creator, this is very hard. So I have created Creatio.

What it does

Creatio is an simple AI based hack, which scans videos in real time to identify broken copyright issues. If a person also finds copyrighted material or stolen material from a creator, then they would be able to send the video on to the web app, which will check the youtube video for any copy righted issues.

How we built it

Flask, duct tape, and a lot of hard work, along with some luck from my Blahaj

I literally started the project 2 hrs before the final deadline.

I learnt a lot, actually, about the functioning of Youtube APIs.

What's next for Creatio

Well, I hope to scale a lot on Creatio so that it can perform real time copyright checks as an extension, in the background
